The Genius of Paul Heaton...
Above, A fresh-faced Paul Heaton leads The Housemartins in imploring men and women to join the 'Caravan of Love'. Norman Cook, aka, 'Fat Boy Slim' was the drummer. Below, 'Happy Hour' was I think the song that gave them fame in the UK. Absurdly catchy and makes you want to jump around your living room incessantly only to then play it again.
Heaton then set up The Beautiful South who created clever, funny, beautiful duets, Heaton's voice working perfectly with female vocalists, of whom the band saw three. This band lasted 19 years. Incredible talent!
