The Emergence of 'New Age' Gurus

Benjamin Creme, occultist disciple of renowned occultists, Aleistair Crowley, Alice Bailey (Founder of the Lucis Trust, originally named, Lucifer Trust!) and long-standing herald of a New World "Teacher" to emerge when he's ready...a kind of anti-St John the Baptist.

Why is all this new age spirituality infecting the Church and the World a big problem?

The reason it is a problem is that people like this are around...

Courtesy of The Telegraph, December 2008

According to the Share International News Service, [Warning: don't read it or if you do, don't get roped in!] in a press release captioned Christmas Miracle, a "large bright star" will be appearing in the sky sometime over the next few days, or weeks, heralding the appearance on "a major US television programme" of the "new world teacher, maitreya", who will be ushering in a new age of peace, wisdom and understanding. And not before time, I hear you say. Share International is the organisation founded by Benjamin Creme, the Scottish painter and clairvoyant, and Britain's most redoubtable millenarian, who has been prophesying the coming of "maitreya" for the past 26 years.

Many now expect the return of their awaited 'teacher', whether they call him the Christ, Messiah, the fifth Buddha, Krishna, or the Imam Mahdi. Millions now know that the "teacher" who fulfills all these expectations is already living among us.

Share International website claims that, "maitreya", the "world teacher", has not come alone, but with a group of wise Teachers who have long guided humanity from behind the scenes. They are returning to the everyday world to help us solve our most critical global problems. "Maitreya" is not a religious leader, but an educator in the broadest sense.

He is here to inspire us to create a new era based on sharing and justice, so that all may have the basic necessities of life: food, shelter, health care, and education. His open mission in the world is about to begin. As "maitreya" himself has said: 'Soon, now very soon, you will see my face and hear my words.'

Hmm...Interesting! What's this crackpot-Aleistair Crowley-enthusiast-occultist-sorcerer-type-glow-in-the-dark-satan-worshipper doing getting his message into established respected daily like The Telegraph?

Houston, or rather Euston...We may indeed have a problem! If what Benjamin Creme says is true, and according to the web, he was in Euston, London, this weekend saying it again, then a "New Age World 'teacher'" is about to step into the limelight. What is more, the true identity of the "maitreya" is...Well, it begins in 'Anti-' and ends in '-Christ.' He's been saying this for about 25 years. Seems he knows this 'guru' but nobody else does. Cue music from The Omen. Also, if you can stomach it, look at Project Bluebeam to see how the great deception on what Benjamin Creme describes as the 'Day of Declaration' might take place. Cripes...If I am found not breathing in mysterious circumstances, like Serge Monast, who alerted the World to NASA's project along with his mate from Free Press International were, pray for me!

And if you can stomach it, read one Catholic's experience of meeting Benjamin Creme.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that Maitreya lived in a bed-sit in Streatham Hill and could often be seen on the top of a 159 bus in the mornings after 9.30 when OAPs can use their bus passes.

Apparently so...

Maitreya, Creme says, left his abode in the Himalaya Mountains in a "self-created" human body to travel to London on July 19, 1977, where he has since lived in the South Asian immigrant community (??) preparing for a "Day of Declaration," in which he will reveal himself via global television and teach the building of a new civilization for the benefit of all.

Here is one Catholic's experience of meeting Creme.

If this chap has an accident while ironing would he be a Creme Brule?
(This last e should have an accent on but I don't think I've got any on my keyboard!)

The Bones said...

I've never got the hang of accents on the keyboard either! He's a bad (Creme) egg.

Glad I'm not the only one mystified by the keyboard. Do you have any idea what the top line is for - Fl, F2, F3 etc up to F12? Dare not experiment with them in case they permanently disable the computer.

The Bones said...

F1 creates a new tab on internet.

Nothing happened when I pressed F2.

I'm not prepared to risk F3.

Thanks for info Laurence - It is nice to know there are others out there to whom the computer is not second nature.

To get special characters, from Windows you can open the programme called Character Set and then copy and paste. It is usually in something called System or Accessories. Alternatively you can google it without the accents and then copy when you find a hit correctly spelled eg Wikipedia spells it så här "crème brulée".

Lawrence, just seen that website, looks like a case of Care in the Community. It's what happens when there is nobody to give them their medication.

I hope and pray they are mentalists.

Some say the late Benjamin Crème was deluded in thinking he could interest the Pope in Maitreya.
Misguided though he was about Maitreya, was Mr Creme so wrong in imagining he could interest the Church in his blatantly false messiah?
In the early 1970s I meditated with an Indian guru called Sri Chinmoy Ghose, before seeing through him for what he was - a charlatan and a liar, as well as a sexual predator.
Imagine my shock upon learning that Ghose was warmly received by two Popes, Paul VI and John Paul II.
Ghose falsely said there were many sons of God, including himself.
Ghose claimed to be in possession of 'God consciousness' and had his deluded disciples meditate on a photo of Ghose in his 'highest state'.
Ghose said 'Jesus laughs when his followers say he is the only way to God' - thereby blaspheming against the Holy Name, and denying the revelation of the New Testament.
Yet Paul VI said to Ghose, 'We will meet in heaven'. And John Paul II said to Ghose, 'I bless your divine work'.
The papal endorsement of Chinmoy Ghose demonstrates the state of apostasy into which the Catholic Church has fallen.
I now worship in very Reformed churches which would never let a Maitreya or a Chinmoy Ghose through their doors.
I wish I could give all ecumenical Catholics a copy of Scottish theologian John Murray's great work of Christology - 'Redemption Accomplished and Applied' now republished in an American imprint.

Thanks for printing my above comment.
You can find two blogs on the Popes and the sinful guru who called himself Sri Chinmoy.
See: A GURU, TWO POPES AND MOTHER TERESA by Patrick O'Brien.
Also: GALATIANS 4 - MORE ON CATHOLICISM AND HINDUISM, THE POPES, MOTHER TERESA AND A HINDU GURU, SRI CHINMOY.
Our world is full of antichrists like Chinmoy Ghose.
We can only expose them through sound Biblical doctrine. And constant prayer in the Holy Spirit.
Just the other day I met a devout Irish lady in her early 30s who did not seem to know about the doctrine of the Atonement.
She had no Biblical understanding as to the meaning of Christ's redeeming death.
I was pleased to give her a copy of 'Precious Blood: The Atoning Work of Christ' edited by Richard D Phillips and published by Crossway Books.
A first-rate and accessible work for everyone.
How I wish I could give copies away free to Catholics who are weak on doctrine as well as to the deluded followers of the late Sri Chinmoy Ghose.
This book of essays by Reformed theologians has an epigraph by John Donne.

Wash thee in Christ's blood, which has this might
That being red, it dyes red soules to white.
