Powerful Stuff from Obama


The one and only reason I have sympathy with US gun owners is because the President is prepared to oversee the killing of so many innocents in the womb. If he cannot perceive the menace of abortion and the slaughter over which he and his nation presides, then I fail to see how his Government will genuinely cherish the lives of US citizens outside of the womb.

As a Catholic and father I have to say, this might just be the most stupid thing I have ever heard. That's a genuine comment, not an exaggeration. I have honestly never heard a person display such a vicious lack of intelligence, despoil the Catholic heritage and humiliate themselves to such a degree before. I could waste time pointing out the logical fallacies, lack of compassion, hatred of humanity and frankly evil and sinful contempt for those children you have revealed in your poisonous stupidity, but you know already why you are wrong. it's just that you couldn't resist opening your mouth to speak. Even when 22 children lie dead. Even then you have to speak. Look, I genuinely hope you feel sorry, I genuinely hope you didn't engage the Catholic part of your soul when you did that, but if not then I pray for you. Frankly, if that's Catholicism, I'd sooner burn in hell

Patricius - One of my favourite poems, and how prophetic it has proved to be!

Mr Bones - your opinion happens to be my opinion, too. Only your requirement of a 'measure of good will' restrains me from waxing uncharitable about Obama.

I do not know whether this was an edited version of Obama's speech or not. His remedy for the situation seemed to be consultations with law enforcement agencies and mental health experts. The NRA would have no problem with that. In this version he never mentions the subject of gun control explicitly. Did he in any other version?

I have always found Obama to be a windbag who has achieved nothing. John: I think you will need to consider in a year's time whether anything has been done to control guns and if not then query whether there is not something more deeply amiss in the Obama scene.
