Lila Rose of LiveAction Exposes Planned Parenthood

Has the abortion industry finally met its match?
H/T to the Apostolate of the Laity

Wow! Lila Rose of LiveAction has caused an earthquake in the abortion debate by going  undercover in Planned Parenthood clinics posing as a 14 year old girl who needs an abortion because her boyfriend is older, aged 31.

It is deceptive, of course, but the result of her work is a range of videos implicating Planned Parenthood in a number of illegal actions that would amount to the covering up of statutory rape. Fox News have been covering the story and it is apparently all over the US media. Read an interview with her on The Catholic Herald website, here. There are, of course, debates to be had about lying in order to uncover truth, but this young lady is a new breed of pro-lifer who is prepared to take risky actions in order to expose the lies and dark heart of the abortion industry. Even George Soros, the billionaire scumbag who funds Planned Parenthood from out of his wealth is worried. He has reportedly telephoned Planned Parenthood to help the organisation, whose reputation is suffering immensely in the wake of the scandal, of how best to counter the impact of the videos. Ex-Planned Parenthood worker, Abby Rose, who recently published a book about her conversion to the pro-life movement, has now teamed up with Lila.

Here she is on the Glenn Beck show...

Of course, the liberal media in the US is not having a field day with this story, because, let's face it, videos which implicate the abortion industry in the practise of institutional cover-up of child abuse (not to say institutional murder) is not nearly as interesting as the child abuse scandal of the US Catholic Church. The expose and Abby Johnson's dramatic account of her experience as a Planned Parenthood director has reached the US House of Representatives. Quite a speech. Will Obama have heard it? Will he care, if he does?

This went to a vote by the way. The result? Le Fleur de Lys too reports...

“This afternoon’s vote is a victory for taxpayers and a victory for life. By banning federal funding to Planned Parenthood, Congress has taken a stand for millions of Americans who believe their tax dollars should not be used to subsidize the largest abortion provider in America,” Congressman Mike Pence of Indiana said after the vote. “I commend my colleagues in both parties for taking a stand for taxpayers and a stand for life. I encourage my colleagues in the Senate to support this legislation and end federal funding of Planned Parenthood once and for all.”

Deo gratias! Now, what do we do about the UK?

It was murder, of course, but the result of incinerating hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilians was an earlier end to the Pacific conflict.

The difference is that the killing is taking place in the abortion clinic whereas Lila Rose isn't killing anyone. Any better examples?

Perhaps my point wasn't clear. It's not that I think the videomakers are guilty of murder, but rather that the logic that justifies an intrinsic wrong (in this case, lying) by recourse to supposedly desirable ends should find no supporters among Catholics.

Bl. John Henry Newman understood the point when he talked about the Church's mission: "The Church... regards this world, and all that is in it, as a mere shadow, as dust and ashes, compared with the value of one single soul. She holds that, unless she can, in her own way, do good to souls, it is no use her doing anything; she holds that it were better for sun and moon to drop from heaven, for the earth to fail, and for all the many millions who are upon it to die of starvation in extremest agony, so far as temporal affliction goes, than that one soul, I will not say, should be lost, but should commit one single venial sin, should tell one wilful untruth, though it harmed no one, or steal one poor farthing without excuse."
