Fr Ray Blake on Gloria TV again...alongside Fr John Boyle and Fr Sean Finnegan!

I don't know who made this video, but its on Gloria TV's website. No sound, caption video only. I'm not sure these Priests would actually thank the maker of the video, but thought I should draw their attention to it. Their pictures come up at 1:50 mins. As far as I know, these Priests are not anti-Vatican II, but of a similar mind to the Holy Father that the two rites offer the Church's liturgy 'mutual enrichment'.

Great video, thanks for posting. It really captures the idiocy of the anti-Vat II mentality. Presumably those quotes are summaries of the views held by the anti-papal clergy and not their actual words (though the bit about liking robes and chanting for no apparent reason is spot on)

Maybe it’s wrong to see ‘sides’ in all this but in so far as there are ‘sides’ I was a bit confused by Peter’s comments as to which ‘side’ he was criticising.

Which of all the people in the video are supposed to have an “anti-Vat II mentality? Certainly not Fathers Blake, Boyle and Finnegan. Maybe some of the people who claim that they represent Vat II but in actual fact contradict it. Like those who deny that Vat II stated quite clearly that Latin should remain the normal language of the Mass.

“Presumably those quotes are summaries of the views held by the anti-papal clergy and not their actual words.”
And who, exactly, might the anti-papal clergy be? Again, clearly not Fathers Blake, Boyle or Finnegan. Anybody who has read anything that they have actually written will know that they are anything but ‘anti-papal’. But there are plenty of ‘anti-papal people’ in such organisations as “We are Church”, “Catholics for a Changing Church” and do on.

So, Peter, I conclude that you could not have been talking about Fathers Blake, Boyle and Finnegan when you were making these comments. So who could you possibly have been referring to?

I really think you should encourage Father to post this video on his blog. As it uses his picture and raises some very interesting issues would you please encourage him to do so. Thank you.
