Bishops Conference 'Summorum Pontificum' Lunch Celebration

The Bishops Conference of England and Wales met today for a gathering to assess their response to Summorum Pontificum, on this the third anniversary of its publication.

The Bishops convened to mark the anniversary of the publication of the historic papal document which liberated the celebration of the Tradtional Latin Mass.

The well-attended, joyful and congratulatory event (pictured left) was described by one spokesperson at Eccleston Square as a, "resounding success, reaffirming the Bishops' commitment to ensuring that access to the Traditional Latin Mass is made more widely available, in-keeping with the wishes of Pope Benedict XVI."
