I can only imagine this is what Pope Francis means.
Don't be afraid of the God of Surprises.
He is trustworthy and faithful to His promises.
So when He comes again, many may be surprised, but you believed.
Let us be found ready and waiting for Him upon His Appearance.
For neither our private, nor the General Judgment, Lord let us be taken by surprise.
That must be what His Holiness means.

Of course, that is what he means!!!! On the other hand . . . . . it's probably just the nasty surprises that the Pope likes to spring on us, all in God's name.
