Polish Taize

Guitar, Latin, the vernacular and chant. It shouldn't work, but there's something about Taize that I rather like. Once it gets in your head it doesn't leave.

Imagine a parallel universe in which true worship was so ingrained in the faithful that any sort of re-composition of sacred texts would be so unselfconscious as not to feel "new", but rather just "different": something like Orthodox chant might have felt like the first time catholics in the 50s ever heard it.

Poles can get away with it because they are so Catholic.
