One of Today's Psalms

Why, God, have you rejected us so finally?
Why this rage against the sheep of your flock?
Remember those you have gathered,
those who were yours from the beginning.
The stock you redeemed to be your own possession;
the mountain of Zion, where you chose to dwell.
Turn your steps towards the final devastation:
the enemy has laid waste the sanctuary.
Those who hate you have roared
in the midst of of your flock.

They have set up their emblems,
taking the place of your own.
They have raised their axes high,
hewing the wood.
With hatchets and axes
they have hewn down the doors.
They set fire to the sanctuary,
profaned and trampled your tabernacle.
They said to themselves, ‘Let us crush them
once and for all.’

They burned to the ground
every shrine of God in the land.
Our emblems have vanished,
our prophets are gone,
and none of us knows any more.
How long, O God, will the enemy deride?
Will he insult your name forever?
Why do you keep your hand away?
Why do you fold your arms?
God is our king since the beginning,
he has given us help throughout the earth.

Remember your people, Lord, whom you chose long ago.

" Wisdom 3: But the souls of the just are in the hand of God, and the torment of death shall not touch them.2 In the sight of the unwise they seemed to die: and their departure was taken for misery:3 And their going away from us, for utter destruction: but they are in peace.4 And though in the sight of men they suffered torments, their hope is full of immortality.5 Afflicted in few things, in many they shall be well rewarded: because God hath tried them, and found them worthy of himself.6 As gold in the furnace he hath proved them, and as a victim of a holocaust he hath received them, and in time there shall be respect had to them.7 The just shall shine, and shall run to and fro like sparks among the reeds.8 They shall judge nations, and rule over people, and their Lord shall reign for ever.9 They that trust in him, shall understand the truth: and they that are faithful in love shall rest in him: for grace and peace is to his elect.10 But the wicked shall be punished according to their own devices: who have neglected the just, and have revolted from the Lord.11 For he that rejecteth wisdom, and discipline, is unhappy: and their hope is vain, and their labours without fruit, and their works unprofitable."

It's only those who 'revolt' from Christ who end in unhappiness and unprofitablness.

while the black-knights of the antichrist's (probably not round - perhaps polyhedronal) table do their thing, the knights of Christ, however 'miserable' in the eyes of the unwise, will reap peace and grace.

With all the horrific martyrdom in Iraq,
I am reminded of my favorite quote,

"She could never be a saint, but she thought she could be a martyr if they killed her quick."--------Flannery O'Connor

Sometimes I wish I could trade places with one of the martyrs that they killed quickly with a bullet to the head.

The horror is in the prolonged executions. I wonder if I would chicken out and convert to Islam--- especially if it meant preserving my children or family members. I wonder how many have bailed. Peter did 3 times.

We know the martyred are saved. I pray for the ones who have feigned conversion. Dreadful stuff.

The blood of our new martyrs is of great value to The Church. Francis should publicly offer that blood to God whilst praying for the final end to the political, social and quasi religious sect of Islam which has shed so much Christian blood over the centuries. The Copts know what Islam is and what to expect but we take no notice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyY5dGl_2AQ

Kim. We should accept martydom and not preserve our family. They will be strengthend in their faith by your example and may soon join you in His Kingdom.

It was a remnant of Faithful who said, no thank you, when politically correct peeps condemned Christ. The names of the politically correct condemnators may change but they are what they are. And the remnant who won't betray Truth, the politically incorrent Catholic Church are, as always, condemned by the politically correct even in a backward humanitarian apology to the humanitarian politically correct.

If there is anyone aware of one supposed Catholic with a profile on this planet who had rightfully and in no uncertain terms condemned the current anticrusade/antichristade, I'd be glad to here of it.

p.s. in that is there any Catholic with a platform that has said in the past 40 years, Judaim, Islam, Protestantism, Atheism, Paganism is EVIL AND WRONG! We live in a time when Christendom has been and it seems gone (countless missionaries have sunk beneath the indifference of world interreligious dialogue as if Christ never suffered the Cross)and what Catholic Bishop stands up and says, this Church which Christ has built is for your poor immortal souls! Not for your sinful selves to change, not to dillute, but to convert to and cleave to!

p.s. ain't nothin' new - the whole hating on Christ's remnant, where ever they may be have lived:
