Apocalypto

Not sure this is Lenten viewing, but Apocalypto is on BBC IPlayer. I never saw it the first time round. Apparently it is the 'prophecies' of these people who ate other people that are meant to have us conclude that the end of the World will take place in December 2012.

Still...It has to be said, at least things in the Catholic online community aren't quite this bad.

I see your "Infant of Prague" isn't yet sold.
My lovely old Irish relatives told me, in all sincerity, that if a small coin is placed under the statue, the owner will never be without money.
I looked at the information you give and now see how this charming, if superstitious legend came about.
I have to confess I have succumbed to the temptation and, so far, so good.
Not in poverty yet!

Those relatives would have been mystified at the bickering of Catholics, even priests - plenty of very unpleasant prejudice against Protestants, but fellow Catholics, God Forbid!
