Holy League

Must watch.

Just as an aside I notice that, like me, Vladimir Putin was born on the Feast of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary. Pray for him and for peace in the world and the hastening of the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Do you think Vlad would like something from Dolce & Gabbana for his birthday?

It does feel as though one has fallen down the rabbit hole when Dolce & Gabbana are more orthodox witnesses to traditional family morality than 90% of the Catholic Hierarchy.

You couldn't script it.

A shockingly Catholic example of compunction from Cardinal Burke. I just hope there is a 'holy hour' available where ever a would-be solider of Christ lives. Things like exposition of the sacrament, 'old mass' or even 'old confession' where the point is to gain absolution pretty much don't exist where i live which is the sort of Novus Ordo Land that Bergoglio invisions all over the world.

PS. Really would appreciate anyone who can comment on Montini's Episcopal Rites of Ordination and whether or not they have simply given us a generation of well-meaning laymen acting out a priestly role?

To equate this sinister, demoniacal, comunistoid leader with salvation is truly a mistake. You Western guys have no idea what Russian oppression is. You think that salvation will come from Russia, only because Putin uses some Christian ideas to mask his actions. It is pure ideology.Just read the address of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic archbishop and you will see that the Catholic Church is in danger there. Orthodoxy is for them only a facade to go pursue their goals. Btw, Putin the great Christian leader, leaves his wife for a younger gymnast and has a child with her? And then you look for coincidences with Catholic feasts. How does that match with your Catholic principles? Knowing how much we Eastern Europeans suffered, I cannot express enough my grief in seeing how you Western guys are fooled by this neo-stalinist leader. Just because your politicians left aside all form of public Christian expression, you see Putin kissing some icons and making the sign of the cross and you think that he is the new champion of Christianity. Please, read some history about the Orthodox ethos even since the Byzantine days- they always go hand in hand with the leader, whomever he might be. And the leader uses the Orthodox church for his evil means. An Eastern European

@ GreekCatholic - Some of us are fully aware that Mr. Putin is certainly no paragon of virtue and appears ready to do great harm to the peace of Europe and the rest of the world for his own interests pretending them to be the same as those of the Russian nation.

Greek Catholic: What makes you think that here in the West we are fooled by Putin? Most of us think that there are parallels with Hitler in his actions.

@Greek Catholic: Putin may be as pure as a morally moribund papal candidate, but some of us can guess at the grief you may feel at the current madness with regard to threats and errors of those with temporal power. (personally I see little difference between Russia and the States as political entities at the moment, except that the States now believes they can win a first strike nuclear war (became official policiy un the bama-bloke), which Putin is simply to realistic to subscribe to). Otherwise, have pity on the sinking west. The high-tide of Marxism embraced and flung to all quaters by the Huffingtons and other magnates of the Med and the East is only just getting up to the necks of the average westerner; even though we've been sending out life-boats and water-wings to towards the pride of Photius for centuries. That we have a Novus Ordo who would now praise the pride of Photius about says it all.

There is a saying. With God...even one, is a majority. It's the figuring out who is the one bit, because, according to heretical Popes, we can no longer rely on what we know about God.

I was arguing with a gentleman of UK via e-mail and he was quoting me Pat Buchanan in defense of Putin:( Plus some obscure prophecies about a spiritual revival coming from Russia. Then I read on Mundabor's blog a very warm praise of Putin again. (with some comments in his favour)
I am not Ukrainian, I am Romanian. My Greek Catholic Church was supressed in 1948 by Soviet orders. Russia's politicians of today are only the offspring of those who hated Catholicism to the point of denying its existence.
I feel very close to you traditionalist Catholics. Fortunately for us, we still have our Byzantine liturgy. In Romania, the Latin Novus Ordo is still decent - communion in hand is forbidden here, only some altar girls here and there, in some parishes people still sing in Latin. I am sorry that you have to drive to find a Traditional Latin Mass. In Romania there are no Traditional Latin masses, I only watched some on the internet, they are very similar to our Byzantine liturgy. It saddens me when I see some trad guys praising Putin.
