In answer to the question "where is the freestanding altar?" Maybe the Pope Emeritus has decided to have it removed and replaced with what appears to be a high-altar. This is the first time I had ever seen the inside chapel here, and as you may also notice the Crucifix was covered up with a Purple drape. He is staying here until may and maybe when he leaves in May, Pope Francis can come and change it back, who knows
Yes, Lawrence. Profoundly moving. Always and most beloved, Benedict XVI, I am forever grateful and carry you in my thoughts and prayers.
God bless
Sonia
Sorry to be so blunt but what an ugly chapel. How very 1970's.
Thank you for uploading this video.
Yes, Pope Benedict is looking very frail and I am rather worried by it.
While I'm sure Pope Francis will be a good leader of the Catholic church at this point in time, Benedict will always be my Pope. God bless both of them.
This ought not to have been filled.
I'll see your two popes and raise you four. Last couple of days to see: http://www.vam.ac.uk/content/articles/p/print-of-the-month/
