On Sunday 18 August at 6pm, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham will have Choral Evensong and Solemn Benediction at the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption and St Gregory.

The Ordinartiate fulfils much of what inspired Pope Benedict: the fathers, Newman, liturgy pointing us to God and scripture. I like to think that if he had been a don at Oxford, he would have attended mass at the Oxford Oratory or Blackfriars in the morning, and in the afternoon, choral evensong at one of the colleges.
