The UN Believes it has the Catholic Church in Check

The UN has issued two filibusters against the Catholic Church in the same week and in the same report. With Pope Francis's 'approval ratings' so high, you might wonder why the UN suddenly has it in for the Church. So do I. I know the UN wields no huge global power, but influence in global affairs it certainly does wield.

Fr Alexander Lucie-Smith reports for The Catholic Herald on the first salvo, which was included in a hard-hitting report on the Catholic Church's response to child abuse. I'll allow Fr Lucie-Smith to fill you in on those details. It can surely be not entirely co-incidental that this report contained another 'damning' reference to the Church, slamming the Catholic Church's opposition to abortion, artificial contraception and homosexual and lesbian marriage.

Lifesitenews reports that...

'The report, drafted by the Committee on the Rights of the Child, accuses the Church of promoting “discrimination” with its teaching on natural human sexual complementarity, and of failing to make the best interests of children the highest priority in its dealing with clerical sexual abuse.'

Why link the two? The UN Committee demands that the Church put its 'house in order' on child abuse (something we can support) and drop its opposition to the culture of death, which among other evils involves the killing of unborn children (which we cannot support). The Church can take the second attack on the chin, though as Fr Lucie-Smith makes clear, few are doing as much to tackle child abuse as the Catholic Church. If the BBC needs some tips, it should contact the Vatican. The UN can be thankful that in its care are not thousands upon thousands upon thousands of children spread across the globe since, if it did, the UN itself would have to worry about child protection procedures and keeping children safe from predatory pederasts.

Overlooking for a moment the Church's timeless belief that you cannot abuse children and remain Christ's disciple and that abortion is the ultimate child abuse, since it is direct killing of the innocent, defenceless unborn, why are the UN suddenly now issuing aggressive directives to the Church?

The UN Committee's strategic gambit relies on its hope of Francis being a weak and compliant Pontiff

Pope Francis has made one or two, perhaps three or four references to abortion in his first year as Pontiff. Even these have not attracted worldwide media attention and the media continue to present Francis is an eerily positive light. I have noted before that His Holiness has said next to nothing on artificial contraception, same-sex 'marriage', human embryology, IVF and euthanasia.

Because he is popular (even outside of the Church), Pope Francis makes the Church appear to be in a position of strength and authority, but it may well be that the enemies of the Church sense an element of weakness - a fundamental fault-line running through the Church - especially on topics such as those they mention in their report on which they would like to see the Church capitulate to the spirit of the age. I mean, for goodness sake, the media are convinced that the Synod on the Family will reveal a shell of a Church in which its members are opposed to the Church's own teaching. The UN clearly believe that the Catholic Church will have to either adapt to the modern age (with all of its evils masked as 'humanitarian concerns') or face some kind of exclusion from the public square for its refusal to 'get with the programme'.

Another wonderdrug brought to you by the Rockefellers
Although its own history has some deeply unfortunate episodes (UN peacekeepers - just where are they when you need them?) the UN somehow always gets to look vaguely good and humanitarian while building up greater global power and influence over nation states, even though, as time has gone on it has become more intensely obsessed with population control through abortion, artificial contraception and the promotion of sterile relationships.

Let's be frank. It has been obsessed with population control and perhaps even ambitions of world government since its inception, but because global media outlets have made its dominant ideology so widely accepted and acceptable, few can see the Devil behind the agenda. I believe they call it Agenda 21.

One of the very few institutions which has always known and always proclaimed that the sanctity of human life and marriage must be upheld in every circumstance is the Catholic Church. The Church has always been a bulwark against tyrannical governments that seek, or even need this fundamental principle to be entirely removed from the public consciousness (never mind law) in order to further a dark and sinister agenda. The powerful billionaires who fund the UN's 'humanitarian' enterprise in different parts of the World remain untouchable to human justice even though they themselves are architects of much of the culture of death through a network of well-funded organisations and vested interests. Among them are such 'philanthropists' as David Rockefeller, Bill Gates and George Soros and the Catholic Church is one piece of the chess set they wish to see fall, so that a new kind of world can be governed under a new kind of morality that enslaves all who fall under its cruel yoke.

The UN: The Rockefeller's Theme Park

The Rockefeller Foundation even funds Catholics for Choice in order to undermine the Catholic Church and to spread their RU 486 pill and abortion 'sacrament' into countries where the Church has influence. The same foundation funds to the hilt the global 'same-sex marriage' campaign. I would not be terribly surprised if Femen was receiving a helping hand from the same or similar characters. Such characters as the Rockefellers also funded the dramatic social changes of the 1960s that 'liberated' women while making wage and tax slaves of all. This way, children get to be taught their morals by the State who raises them, rather than their knackered parents.

Much of family life, marriage and natural law that has held together Christian civilisation has already been dismantled in the process of erecting a super State that knows all, sees all and even sets the morality for each and every generation. Children and adults will happily rebel against God and His laws if it is spun the right way. Educating children in virtue is a little more challenging if more rewarding for society as a whole. It is good that the Catholic Church is viewed by the UN as a threat to their agenda for the world which puts such a small price on human life and dignity.

From its beginning, the UN has been the tool for population control ruled by the eugenically-minded exceedingly rich. Pope Francis's silence on so many issues related to the culture of death is a concern. Is the UN taking it as weakness from the Chief Shepherd and considering his pontificate the ideal time to strike and strike hard? I hope and pray that now he has established himself as a 'world figure', that His Holiness will be able to communicate as the great bridge-builder why safeguarding and valuing life from conception to natural death secures the protection of all, especially the weak and most vulnerable. The Catholic Church either opposes evil in the name of Her Founder and Head, Jesus Christ, or can become an accomplice in the dystopic vision of the UN. As goes the Church, so goes the World.

Pray for the Pope and all Bishops and Cardinals, that they may defend life and choose Christ, the Author of Life itself. Sign, also, this petition in defence of the Holy See.

All of a piece with the European Parliament's evil Lunacek Report passed Tuesday to persecute pro-marriage, pro-family, pro-Christian- and natural morality persons, organisations. The persecution has become more official.

The UN doesn´t believe that it has the Catholic Church in check. It HAS the Catholic Church in check.

Pope Francis made this possible back in July 2013. He incorporated into the Vatican legal system the provisions of numerous international conventions including: the four Geneva Conventions of 1949, on the conduct of war and war crimes; the 1965 Convention on the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination; the 1984 Convention against torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, the 1989 Convention on the rights of the child and its optional protocols of 2000:

Vatican City, 11 July 2013 (VIS) – The Holy See Press Office has today published the following communique regarding Pope Francis' Motu Proprio on matters of criminal law in Vatican City State:
“Today His Holiness Pope Francis has issued a Motu proprio on criminal law matters. On this same date, the Pontifical Commission for Vatican City State has adopted the following laws: Law No. VIII containing Supplementary Norms on Criminal Law Matters, Law No. IX containing Amendments to the Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code, Law No. X containing General Provisions on Administrative Sanctions.
“The Motu proprio makes the criminal laws adopted by the Pontifical Commission for Vatican City State applicable also within the Holy See. The criminal laws adopted today are a continuation of the efforts to update Vatican City State’s legal system, building upon the measures adopted since 2010 during the pontificate of Benedict XVI.
“These laws, however, have a broader scope, since they incorporate into the Vatican legal system the provisions of numerous international conventions including: the four Geneva Conventions of 1949, on the conduct of war and war crimes; the 1965 Convention on the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination; the 1984 Convention against torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, the 1989 Convention on the rights of the child and its optional protocols of 2000. "(...)A legally binding instrument
The Convention on the Rights of the Child is the first legally binding international instrument to incorporate the full range of human rights—civil, cultural, economic, political and social rights. In 1989, world leaders decided that children needed a special convention just for them because people under 18 years old often need special care and protection that adults do not. The leaders also wanted to make sure that the world recognized that children have human rights too.(...)
By agreeing to undertake the obligations of the Convention (by ratifying or acceding to it), national governments have committed themselves to protecting and ensuring children's rights and they have agreed to hold themselves accountable for this commitment before the international community. States parties to the Convention are obliged to develop and undertake all actions and policies in the light of the best interests of the child."

Catholics have warned the Vatican about the dangers of the Convention ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD before without success:

BTW, the UN and their work was first praised by Pope John XXIII in "Pacem in Terris".

Pope Francis´program is almost identical with the UN´s program, as I said before.

Bit is interesting, what is being played out is exactly what was in a book written in 1907 by a priest by the name of Benson. "Lord of the World."

Catholics have had a long time to see the coming marginalization and out and out discrimination of the Catholic Church.

Persecution will come and no Catholic should be thinking same old same old at this time in history.

Remember Cardinal Ratziner's famous prophecy about the future of the Church.

We need a Pope Leo or Pius, not a Pope Francis, to deal with this.
