Hot Cross Buns are Addictive

On offer at the moment on a 2 for 1 deal at Sainsburys. I'll bet these little beauties are selling like hot cakes. They are meant to be Lenten, I think, but personally I find them very moreish! I'm hooked and its getting sinful! If you really want to save money, you can make them, care of a recipe from our Delia.

When I was a lad you could only buy them on Good Friday (or for a few days around then). They are on sale all year round at Sainsbury now, I think. They are always very scrumptious when toasted and smothered with lashings of butter and a cup of Yorkshire Tea. Not very lenten at all...

I wonder which ones are the nicest? Tescos, Sainsbury's or M&S's?
I ate two Tescos buns earlier, toasted, infact slightly burnt, but still delicious............
I think I'lll try Marky's ones tomorrow.

I still haven't tried the posh ones yet.I'll need lurpak butter aswell, which is two spreadable tubs for four quid at the co-op at the moment although utterly butterly is much less expensive and also on offer.
I do like my b.o.g.o.f bargains! (buy one, get one free).

Too late, someone's bound to digitally trace my comment and then word will spread, like butter (groan.........sorry, my jokes get worse). I need to go outside and walk, in fresh air.
