The City of Death by the Sea Claims Another Life

A homeless chap I know of, recently released from prison for a breach of his ridiculous ASBO, knew the victim of this horrendous attack, describing him as 'one of us'. "It could have been me. It could have been any of us," he said.

Pray for the repose of his soul and the comforting of his family and friends. It looks very much like the drug-gang culture in Brighton has claimed another life and in an horrific way at that...

'The family of murdered Stefan Welch today paid tribute to their trusting son and brother. Mr Welch, whose burnt body was discovered at Dyke Golf Course on Saturday, died from a blow to the head.

His family, paying tribute to him, said: "We love Stefan very much and cannot adequately put into words our heartbreak at this time. We know that we are not alone in our grief as he was loved by a wide circle of friends and others who knew him. Stefan was not a violent or malicious man and relied on the trust and support of those around him, who we believe took to him as soon as they met him. We have lost our son and brother and we appeal to anyone who can assist the police in their investigation to please help Stefan for one last time if they can."'

The same publication has now reported that...

'A murdered man whose burnt body was found on a golf course owed £100 to drug dealers, his best friend claimed. The charred corpse of Stefan Welch was found dumped on a golf course near Devil’s Dyke. A man, who did not want to be identified, exclusively told The Argus he sat with the weeping 37-year-old victim just two hours before he was last seen. The revelation came as Stefan’s heartbroken family paid tribute, saying he was “loved by a wide circle of friends and others”.

Police confirmed they are investigating drug debt as a possible line of enquiry.

It looks very much like a poor Brighton man of 37 years of age has been sadistically and brutally murdered by wicked drug dealers over a debt of just £100. Why on earth do people want to live in this town?! May his soul rest in peace, and may God comfort his relatives and aid the quick capture of his killers.
