Details of Controversial St Peter's Lightshow Emerge

Seriously though, if it happens to me, I want it in Latin.

I assume my right to the Latin rite of excommunication was covered in either Summorum Pontificum or Universae Ecclesiae.

“Cursed be you, for time and power were entrusted to you and you did not use them!” - St. Catherine of Siena to Pope Gregory XI.

"If the faith is in imminent peril, prelates ought to be accused by their subjects, even in public." -St. Thomas Aquinas

What is 'imminent peril'? Pews occupied almost exclusively by grey haired parishioners? Polls suggesting that not one 'Catholic' in ten actually subscribes to the Catechism? No takers for confession?

We appear to be getting pretty close if we are not already there. Not all his fault of course but he certainly doesn't seem to be the man to improve things. He is clearly everything that Pius X (and numerous other popes) would fear in a successor, so you are in fact supporting numerous popes, just not this one.

The NWO global tyrannical "religion" of the One World Dictatorship has taken over the Chair of Peter. They have the buildings . . .

We don't need to be "excommunicated" because we are Catholics and have never been members of their false and evil religion.

Blessed Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle . . .

Dear God, rid us of these wicked wolves who are offending Thee in the most depraved and sacrilegious way and leading millions to Hell. Lord, save us! Have mercy on us!

In order to be excommunicate by this 'pope' I would need to know that he is validly elected to the position he claims to hold. That is in doubt. One sees every day fresh evidence that this man is indeed the false prophet. It is becoming clear that each of us is going to have to choose between approval by the corrupt forces in Rome, headed by Bergoglio, who are now running the papacy, or loyalty to the fullness of the Faith as it has been given to us through the Catholic Church. The true Church is where that loyalty exists among the followers of Jesus. It is not in Rome. Each and every one of us is going to have to answer the question, 'Who am I serving?' and there will be no way that one can carry water on both shoulders. This imposter is just getting warmed up, and soon, very soon, denial will not work for any one of us.

So they say that you're not only excommunicated for physically attacking the Pope, but also if you say something impolite about him.

It's creeping excommunication! Where does it stop? Are you excommunicated if you dare criticise a Vatican archbishop? Or your own bishop? Or the janitor at your local Catholic school?

Actually, I was hoping the Year of Mercy might turn out ok, but now I've changed my mind. With this comment, and the son et lumiƩre for starters, what horrors are in store as the Y of M unfolds?

God has a sense of humor. Believe me, I'm counting on it.

Ego devoveo vos omnes, atque exsecror omnes haereticos Catholicos fideles, et.....honny soit qui mal y pense.I saw the true Pope entering first in St.Peter, we're safe!

This was truly funny. It gladdens me that traditional Catholics are speaking up and have a great sense of humor. The Remnant has a petition that should be signed by all concerned Catholics. It asks Pope Francis to step down and lists many solid reasons why this is being asked of him.

Perhaps they meant to say 'excoriated' by Francis rather than 'excommunicated'?

Here is the Remmant link for the petition:

Go here to read the appeal to Frankie at Remnant News. Very well written. The signature portion is all the way at the very bottom of the page.

Had the picture been one with him sporting the clown nose, it would have been even more terrifying!

If threats of excommunication don't terrify you, that is because in your hearts you already reject this man's authority and the sect that he's the leader of. For it were truly the Catholic Church, we would grovel before him as our salvation would be tied up in being in communion with him.

Hi, Thomas. He is the Pope, but he is not defending the Catholic faith. That is very frustrating. Humor helps. We pray for Pope Francis who is not the only bad Pope in Church history.
