World Cup Final Germany Vs Argentina

The split in the Church is coming...Who will Kasper support?

  1. Heheh. The German Shepherd and the Argentine...um, the Argentine. Is the fix in? Every single time Latin America host, Latin America wins. Do you think a certain someone famous will show up in an arg shirt at the cup ceremony and next day the world will be flooded with selfies? (I wonder if all the Latin American players who get out their rosaries when the chips are down know how horrifying such things are?) Meanwhile all the voodoo Brazil employed seemed to work like anything but a charm.

  2. Not being a follower of football I had no idea who was in the final until I saw your headline! Then I immediately thought of the two Popes. I can imagine them both watching the match together and would love to be the proverbial fly on the wall!

Regarding a possible future split in the Church isn't there one now in all but name?

  3. Germany 3 Argentina 1
My forecast - but don't put your money on it! No reflection in any way on papal connections!
    A brilliant photo!

  4. They'll probably agree to change the rules before the game.

  5. I support Argentina, which I know quite well from business visiting.

And I know the Argentinians quite well too. They talk a lot, off the tops of their heads and without much thinking, make great wine, have a fantastic sense of music, brilliant fighter pilots, and lousy soldiers.

    As for popes, well .........?

  7. If a German is of good will, and seeking the Lord, who am I to judge them?...Go Germany!

Pelerin - I doubt ex-Pope Benedict watches football, far to rough for his delicate sensibilities.

  10. Yay! No Bergoglio cup ceremony! God really does like Trads and Rosary counters after all.
