Stephen Hough of The Telegraph has posted a painting of famous people in history discussing the Divine Comedy with Dante.
It is from 2006, oil on canvas, by Chinese artists Dai Dudu, Li Tiezi, and Zhang An. You have to scroll to the right, and each figure is linked to their Wikipedia entry. Yeah but it was a Chinese artist - Elvis is more famous in China than Jesus (I used to teach over there and a student asked me if Jesus wrote the Bible. Then when I explained the situation he looked confused and said 'really - that's Jesus?').
