'Virtue, without which Terror is Baneful'

Now is the time for France to stop glorifying Terror and turn to Our Lord Jesus Christ.

May the victims of the Paris attacks and all the victims of Terror in France,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

  1. When France will stop commemorating the awful and false 'prise de la Bastille' (there were no more than 10 thieves inside, no trace of royalists) maybe that Marianne is forgotten and the Blessed Virgin will come back to Her place, and worshipped. 500.000 Vandeans cry for justice for being slaughtered because they were Catholic.

  2. Actually, that should be "Terror without Virtue is Baneful."

  3. The French have institutionalised the commemoration and glorification of the evils of their revolution, the slaughter of faithful Catholics, and the related 'enlightenment' and, as such, have and will suffer in special ways among the nations. 1st World War (loss of most of a generation of young men), 2nd world war (occupation, humiliation and reliance on others for liberation). There has never been a national 'self examination' as the Germans have undertaken, the Revolution brought only benefits according to the national 'narrative' and they will not cease to suffer in special ways until an honest appraisal of its history is undertaken and the results generally accepted.

  4. At the Novus Ordo church where I work but no longer take the sacraments, congregants were asked to pray for the souls of the dead assassins. I just shook my head. Why would we bother to pray for the souls of men who killed a bunch of people and then killed themselves? Even in the remotest of chances that they 'converted' in their last moments and made it to purgatory, I feel no obligation to pray for them. This was one of those required prayers the u.s. council of bishops (aka lollipop guild) foisted on all churches.

  6. Today (19th Nov)) is the beginning of the Miraculous Medal Novena which culminates in the feast of the Miraculous Medal on 27th November, followed by the feast of St Catherine Laboure on the 28th November. Many versions of the Miraculous Medal novena can be found by Googling it. The Miraculous Medal was given by Our Lady to St Catherine Laboure, at the Rue du Bac in Paris, not far from the recent tragic events. The Shrine has a website where petitions can be left:- http://www.chapellenotredamedelamedaillemiraculeuse.com/langues/english/prayer-intentions Let us join together and beseech Our Lady for peace in the world. "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to Thee'

  8. Pray mercy for the souls of whoever you will, dead or living, by the Blood of Christ (rarely offered). But do not commune with who ever YOU will. And do not bless faithless works or those who work them - "For many seducers are gone out into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh: this is a seducer and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that you lose not the things which you have wrought: but that you may receive a full reward. Whosoever revolteth, and continueth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that continueth in the doctrine, the same hath both the Father and the Son. If any man come to you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into the house nor say to him, God speed you. For he that saith unto him, God speed you, communicateth with his wicked works." 2 John 1.
