"Thank you, Fr Lombardi. Right, we've got some time together now and you've chosen to get onto an airplane with the Pope so I'm going to teach you how to pray the Rosary. Let's pray for peace, for a safe journey, that those without faith may seek the Face of God, that the violent will put away their swords, for our families..."
I'm certain that's the way ahead.
That's got to be the way ahead for all of us.
Otherwise...
Otherwise...
Everyday would be 'punch a blasphemer day'.
God bless your perseverance. I am not able to listen or read much of what he says anymore as it upsets me beyond words, and makes me sicker (I suffer from a chronic illness). We can't expect that he is going to convert to the Faith and stop attacking fundamentals of the Faith and morals (though we cry out to God, in our suffering). You and many others do a great job of pointing out the continual opposition to the Faith. Robert de Mattei had another great piece a few days ago (was on Rorate Caeli). All these conscientious writers who do the horrible task of documenting the errors and heresies do a great service to the Church. Blessed Michael, protect us in battle . . .
ReplyDeleteWhat has happened to the "fasten your safety belt in flight" rule?
ReplyDeleteIn my country they say that silence is gold, may be in Argentina is quite different.....I suffer from asthma and since 2013 is getting worse.....hope Michael will stand on our side. God bless.
ReplyDeleteHe is a politician not a pope. Obviously.

ReplyDeleteI know Argentina (well actually, knew, 80s into the 90s),quite well.
Silence is forbidden and talk, is incessant and mandatory.
But they are great musicians!
Pope Francis is no different than your average parish priest formed in the V2 seminaries. People are just used to popes who were...shall we say..cut from a different cloth? Now they get to see what happens when Fr. Nice ascends to the papacy.. Most Bishops are already this way, so really it was only a matter of time right?
ReplyDeleteDon't expect any miracles at the next conclave either.. this is the new normal - or should I say the papacy is now normalized according to what exists in most diocese?
