LA Catholic Church 2009 RECongress

These are pictures from the jaw-dropping 2008 RECongress. This was Saturday's 'Black Culture Liturgy': AKA Black Mass? Yes, we're all God's children, so let's have a separate Mass for the black community, just to ensure that we honour the fact that we are all made in the image and likeness of God in the most patronising and offensive way to God and man as is possible. "Black people are no different to White people...to prove this we're going to have a different Mass just for you!"

This picture was under the heading 'Contemplative' liturgy. Priest: 'Hmm...finding it hard to contemplate anything with this liturgical dancer swanning around everywhere distracting me from thinking on Christ and His Sacrifice.'

Ah, Friday, traditionally a day for the Church to remember Christ and His Suffering as He hung on the Cross for all of Mankind. Wait, just a minute! Why honour His suffering when you can have a Friday night Concert! Bagpipes! Oh my, Lord...Bagpipes! Yes, now this is the Catholic way!

  1. "The sight of the Most Fair will gladden thee but it will pierce thee too,"
From "The Dream of Gerontius" by Cardinal Newman.
Are we to believe that all this kind of activity actually helps anyone really pray? Is it not, rather, an avoidance strategy?
