That question is just too confusing. And, in any case, people who ask questions like that are only interested in polarisation when we should only be interested in dialogue. You know, the kind of dialogue which Jesus had with the Devil when he was tempted three times. You can see from that dialogue how Jesus treated the Devil as an equal and fully respected his views. Instead of condemning the Devil and all his works, Jesus sought unity, not the false unity of uniformity but the unity of mutual respect for differences. You can also see from that dialogue how Jesus acknowledged the great contribution of the Devil towards the building up of the Kingdom of God. In fact, the only thing stopping Jesus taking the same viewpoint towards Luther was that Luther did not come into existence for another 1,500 years or so. You can also see from that dialogue with the Devil how Jesus refused to paint things merely in black and white and how he saw the Devil and all his works as being like 50 shades of grey. Maybe grey should be the new colour for ecclesiastical vestments. Well, we've already got rid of the black so it's maybe time to get rid of the white. How about very dark grey for Cardinals and very light grey for deacons?
It's not a question about colours, it's the tyrants who don't like dialogues......intelligenti pauca. God bless+
