Defend Pope Benedict XVI, Defend Marriage, Defend the Church

Today the Holy Father made some excellent comments concerning the dangers of 'same-sex marriage' and the dangers it poses to the family, man, woman, child and the civilization itself.

An opportunity to defend the Pope, marriage, the family and Holy Mother Church has arisen on a Telegraph column by Ian Douglas who is "puzzled" by what the Holy Father has today taught. Seize the opportunity and, if you can, weigh into the discussion beneath the article.

If you can't troll for the Holy Father, for whom can you troll? Defend life, defend true liberty, defend the Church, defend marriage, the child, the family and defend and protect the Pope. Join me in the bar underneath the article by Ian Douglas. Mine's a shandy, thanks. So far, I think I've had about 10 comments deleted, but this number could increase.

With the general exception of its economic pieces, The Telegraph's 'blogs' section is as cryto-Marxist as anything you'll likely find on The Guardian's Comment is Free.

And what's all the more stranger is that the former's editor, Damian Thompson, is apparently a Catholic. I can only think that the Trots have infiltrated this publication now as well.....

Andrew I'm not sure what evidence you have for this. I can name quite a few conservative commentators on the Telegraph blogs, notably Ed West, Tim Stanley and Janey Daley

But, pj, in most matters those writers don't make their arguments from the standpoint of traditional Christian philosophy and thought. They rationalize their judgments with concomitant political or social theory, neither relying on, nor very often even referencing, religious thinking or rationale.

There are a few exceptions to this for sure: one thinks of Thomas Pascoe, for instance. But when one of their Catholics-in-residence, Christina Odone, states that 'I believe abortion has to be legal'. you get a feeling for what is really going on over there.....

The Pope Who Won't Be Buried

It has been a long time since I have put finger to keyboard to write about our holy Catholic Faith, something I regret, but which I put larg...
