Now that's what I call a greenhouse.
There are some lovely images of the Transalpine Redemptorists growing fruit and vegetables in the Orkney Islands.
Today I obtained a shed as I had a day off work and will be putting it up in the next week. Next, the greenhouse...well, that might have to wait a while and finally the statue of Our Lady, the arch and the roses, then a blessing of the allotment by a local priest and some serious mulching and seeding.
That should keep the Council off my back.

You mean clingfilm?
Oh and btw raid the Macdonalds bins as the burger trays are perfect for seedings & cos they're waxed don't crumble in the water
Perhaps you could plant a little 'Mary Garden' around your statue of Our Lady. Jane Mossendew of 'Thoughts from a Catholic Oasis' blog has written a lovely little CTS book called 'Gardening for God'. Maybe you could plant a vermillion rose for Our Lady? It's getting quite exciting. Well, on your blog page you've got Our Lady of Walsingham holding a lily. Did you know this type of lily is a sacramental? Perhaps you could get a bulb blessed and plant it? You've got Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal with rays from her hands, perhaps that's rain?
Here's a link to Our Lady of Glastonbury:

She's holding a rose with a bit of a root-ball. I'm sure she'll look after your garden.
I'm sure Mary will send you lots of ladybirds to pollenate all your vege and flowers.
"The Hail Mary of Gold"
HAIL, White Lily, of the ever-peaceful and glorious Trinity!
Hail, Vermilion Rose, the delight of Heaven, of whom the King of Heaven was born and by whose milk He was nourished!
Do thou feed our souls with the effusions of thy Divine influences.
PROMISE: During an apparition of the Blessed Mother, St. Gertrude noticed that the Holy Trinity was depicted under the form of a white lily with three petals. Our Lady made it known that that she would exert her influence with the Holy Trinity on behalf of those who saluted her as the White Lily of the Trinity and the Vermillion Rose of Heaven. She then added: "I will appear at the hour of death to those who salute me thus, in such glory that they will anticipate the very joys of Heaven." [Revelations, Book III, chapter XVIII.]
Thanks for the comment.
You wouldn't mind sending me a little email would you?

Wish I could get an allotment. I've got potted plants in my apartment. Suppose I could make a fairy garden here.

Your Seattle fan,

I used to be a Simpson fan. I think I am going to try to grow a kumquat tree. My parents are from Florida and grew up eating kumquats (a citrus fruit.). My nickname was Kimquat. Will probably have to get IV lightbulbs for it.
